It seems like there's a recent trend in furniture designs where you can literally surround youself in books. The Bibliochase and the Bookinist were the first examples I've seen, and we mentioned the Cave shelving on the blog before, and now we have this, except this one specifically caters to magazines (not that you can't put books on it if you wanted to).

Materials: Glass and MDF
Size: 116 cm wide x 86 cm deep x 73 cm high

If I didn't already have a coffee table I would snap this up in a second.

-Two concealed drawers hide away living room clutter
-Drawers open on smooth metal glides
-Airy wood construction base with oak veneer
-Dimensions: 46"w x 20"d x 16"h

Concrete Furniture From Creo Concrete Studio

I like the shair here and think it could be done similarly with recycled plastic or aluminum for the frame

Work at Home Furniture : Combination Coffee and Laptop Table

For work at home professionals or workaholics that are always working, this combination coffee and laptop table is a cool piece of furniture. I like the fact that it can be "put away" and not make the living room look like a home office. The simple mechanism that brings the table closer to the person sitting can make a big difference in potential back discomfort that can be caused by leaning forward to use a laptop on a coffee table. Modular, lightweight furniture is the name of the game – at least the one that Movisi is playing. This design company has created a line of furniture that is fun, playful, functional and modern. All of their pieces have the same carefree appeal: they can be reshaped, moved, tossed, and interacted with in a variety of ways. The above pictured MakeShift storage solution is a wedge shaped design that can fit into even the most awkward of spaces, and can expand or contract based on your needs. And the Q-Couch is a single-to-infinite seating arrangement that is cute, quirky, and supremely flexible to fit any situation, and any space.

The Innovation collection of modern sofa sleepers with a futon like operation, are at home in a spare bedroom, living room, or game room. Designer Per Weiss used a angular chrome frame to give the "Cubed" a classically modern and sophisticated look that offers a sofa by day and a generous sleeping surface by night. The Cubed is the latest in a a long line of convertible and multifunctional furniture that looks much more expensive than it is.
